Partnering With Veterans for Improved Outcomes

I was introduced to Dr. Mensah by a dear friend for the purpose of writing this article about his business, VA Disability Increase (VADI) and how he wants to meet the need of helping veterans in our community get the disability benefits they earned while serving their country.

Dr. Mensah completed his Internal Medicine Residency training at St` Raphael`s Hospital, Yale New Haven, Connecticut in June 2005 and moved to Vegas to begin working as a Hospitalist for Inpatient Physician’s Network.

With passion and compassion, understanding the need to help others, finding a calling and a humble spiritual believing you have been given tools to help others is what drives Dr. Mensah into establishing VA Disability Increase (VADI) to help our veterans.

Over the last few years, Dr Mensah became intimately aware of the challenges veterans have faced and continue to face when applying for disability benefits.  Dr. Mensah shared a story with me about how he met a Vietnam Veteran in Pahrump living on very limited means who had multiple service-connected medical conditions unclaimed from the Veteran`s Administration. This touched Dr. Mensah’s heart in such a way he felt driven to help him with no cost to the veteran even if it meant driving from Las Vegas to Pahrump to meet him.

He stated, “Initially, veterans hesitate to file for benefits they deserve.  So many veterans feel defeated, with regards to applying for their disability benefits, because they have seen and heard of many stories of benefits being denied. Veterans have expressed being frustrated or overwhelmed with the disability claims process, some report multiple unsuccessful benefit increase attempts over a period of several years. We help them the best way we can.”

VADI is aware the paperwork that needs to be submitted by the veteran to support their application is very complicated. Dr. Mensah’s team has the right kind of medical personnel to fill out the forms correctly to make sure the relevant information is accurately presented to the Veteran Administration for their claims to be properly evaluated.

As I observed the sincere concern on Dr. Mensah’s face, he looked at me and said, “My hope is that every veteran is being taken care of the right way. I hope they are getting the maximum benefits they deserve.” I sat there unsure of how to respond because I saw concern and worry in his eyes and determination on his face.

After speaking with Dr. Mensah, I learned that there is a huge need to assist veterans due to lack of resources that directly help them. His company has an expedited way to get the process streamlined that’s least cumbersome for their clients.

Dr. Mensah, explained by establishing VA Disability Increase (VADI), the goal is to ensure veterans come first when seeking their claims. VADI want the veterans to feel like family. Their team is made up of personable and knowledgeable people who have experience with the VA rating system and know the criteria required by the Veterans Administration to help achieve a successful outcome.

All you have to do is make one phone call to Dr. Andrew Mensah of VA Disability Increase, and his team will take the burden of applying for VA benefits completely off the veteran’s shoulders. They do all the work, so the veterans don’t have to.

They provide services to first-time claimants, requests for increased ratings and reconsideration of previously denied disabilities.

They only refer patient`s within their own small network of providers for specialty examinations, which are mental, hearing, and vision. All other examinations are performed in-house by Dr. Mensah, therefore saving the veteran time and money by not having to make multiple appointments to see other specialists in their offices and have the forms filled out for each medical condition being claimed.
